This is the most effective hat for temperatures between 30 and 45 when you are having a look to have to maintain the heat in and cover up your ears. There is a smooth headband across the ears that does present nice heat to your ears, but the high of the hat is pretty thin and does not in point of fact provide enough heat for operating when it's beneath 30.

I am a year-round outdoor runner and have put more then a few hats throughout the motions. The Saucony Drylete skull cap is really good. I've worn it in temps from 20F to 50F and that it has worked smartly eachtime. As some other reviewer talked about - it's you might you'll want some different hat below freezing as this isn't insulated (it has the thickness of one among your quick dry tech shirts).

I bought the grey with high visibility orange and had been very please with visibility on early morning/night runs. If you run with a headlamp on night/early morning runs, you will haven't any bother getting your headlamp to stay on the hat - meaning the material has traction sufficient to maintain your headlamp from slipping off (an problem I even have had with a pair other hats).

Other thoughts: It does run moderately big size-wise. Mind you it will modify to suit anyone's head, but there may be a number of cloth so if you want a tight fit and you may simply have got a small head, you're most definitely going to have a little additional on high. This is my first "skull cap" but I need to think they all aren't terribly uncomfortable? The band is tight however in a very unhealthy way. There are two tight strings that dig in to your head, as an alternative of a clean band. So the band is simply too tight but the top phase is simply too giant and is saggy....
