This hat does what it is meant to do. It keeps my head dry once I am out operating here in west Washington state. I do not use this on honest climate days because the rain-proof lining does not breathe. But if you need to preserve the rain of your head, this one hasn't let me down yet. Love the hat, it's just too giant.
